Stefano Sbalchiero

Stefano Sbalchiero (PhD in Sociology, 2010) is a researcher (RtdB) and Assistant Professor at the University of Padova where he teaches “Social research methods” with special emphasis on quantitative analysis. He was visiting fellow at Boston University, MA, USA (2023) and at Polish Academy of Sciences, Department of Methodology, Kraków, Poland (2018) where he focused on quantitative methods, text mining approaches and topic modelling. He has been involved in numerous projects investigating, among others, scientists’ mobility, youth and spirituality, science and spirituality, history of sociology, and policy analysis. Currently he is a member of several national and international scientific research initiatives and groups. His work appeared in peer-reviewed leading academic journals, including Quality and Quantity, Religions, International Migration, Policy & Society), and was presented during national and international conferences (American Sociological Association (ASA), Association for the Sociology of Religion (ASR), International Conference on Public Policy (ICPP), International Conference on Statistical Analysis of Textual Data (JADT)), to name a few. 

Areas of Interests: social research methods; text mining approaches; religion and spirituality; science and spirituality; interreligious dialogue.
